Welcome to Worm Farming!
So, You Want to be a Worm Farmer?
Starting a worm farm can be a fun and unique hobby! It’s a really great way to utilize compostable materials without having to put in a lot of effort. If you’re a gardener, you’re going to love the worm castings, or vermicompost, that they produce! Also known as black gold, this all-natural soil amender can be added directly to your soil, sprinkled on top of your plants, and works great in a seed starting mix. The castings can also be brewed into liquid nutrients and sprayed directly onto plants! It will take a bit of time for your farm to acclimate and begin producing castings, but once it reaches maturity, the worms will be composting your food waste in no time! It may seem a bit daunting to begin something new, but we’re here to help. Hopefully we can make your worming journey as fun and exciting as we know it can be!
