Starting a worm farm can be a fun and unique hobby! It’s a really great way to utilize compostable materials without having to put in a lot of effort. If you’re a gardener, you’re going to love the worm castings, or vermicompost, that they produce! Also known as black gold, this all natural fertilizer can be added directly to your soil, sprinkled on top of your plants and works great as a seed starter. The castings can also be made into a worm tea that can be used to water your plants. It will take a bit of time for your farm to begin producing vermicompost, but once it reaches maturity, the worms are basically doing the work for you!

It may seem a bit daunting to begin something new, but we’re here to offer helpful information about your worms to hopefully make your new worm farm as successful as it can be!
